77tsi stage 1 chip

Has anyone had thier 77tsi nodded with a stage1 chip that they are happy with?

Which chip was it, Who did for you and how much?

I've seen posts from 2012 talking about it but wanting an update if possible.

APR has a tune for this engine - details here: APR - High Performance Development for Audi, VW and Porsche Vehicles.

You could also try Custom Code as they do quite a few Polos, though not sure what they have for the 77TSI.

There's only so much you can squeeze out of a 1.2litre motor and small turbo... If you want more then you'll have to trade up to something with higher capacity

DNA Tuning do one too - quite a few people on here running the DNA tune on the 77tsi.

I've just messaged DNA asking if they can tune vehicles in Brisbane. Old prices I found here listed $830 for +23kW +50Nm which is a great increase and a reasonable price.

I'd just be happy if they can do something about the no-boost in first gear, drives me crazy.

What makes you think that it's not making any boost in first gear?

i was also told by VW (at some stage i can't remember) that 1st had little/no boost to protect the transmission.

Are you kidding? My car (manual tranmission) goes 0-50km/h in 1st gear real friggen fast! Gives an SV6 a run for it's money off the mark.. but as soon I go to second... no hope lol.

I haven't done anything, It could be that it's not DSG? Does nobody else flog their pogo... Lol

Yea I'm pretty happy with it's performance too surprisingly but was curious what people who had it chipped thought too?

I've dragged and hillclimbed mine. I haven't noticed anything that suggests first gear boost is limited. Although only 23kW its a 30% increase. I'm considering it as my car comes off lease next month.

For reference mine has a piggy back chip out of Germany. Standard i'm 77kw... this is meant to give 89KW and I really cant notice any difference. Previous owner paid 400 for a slight acceleration increase... Hope others are better than what I had fitted.
