  • Oil Seep / Leak from PCV Valves and Wastegate Rattle - 6R TSI

    hello there

i noticed some leaks during a recent service, i think they are coming from the PCV valves (are these the PCV valves) - possibly the units need replacing or the seals on these units. has anybody had anything similar? can anybody confirm these are the PCV valves? pictures below.

also, i think i finally diagnosed the rattle when accelerating under certain conditions. especially noticeable at very low speed manoeuvres (on and off the clutch making small movements of the vehicle e.g. when parking) - it's coming from the wastegate area. then i discovered it's well documented, doh! going to give the following part a go and see whether the rattle stops:

if anybody has any comments / experiences to share it would be much appreciated.

    thanks

That wastegate clip you have linked to is for the 2.0TSI engine - it will not fit your Polo engine. They use a type of spacer/washer on the Polo's to fix the turbo rattle. Your dealer should be able to sell you the part.

If you're in need of any 6n1 parts, odds are that I am going to have them (dismantling 2 at the moment)
