Engine Stop/Start who leaves it on?

Stop/Start would not be ideal for me as I hit peak hour on way to work and the engine is pretty much stone cold....Start, stop, start, stop...starter motor wear n tear and battery cranking cant be good for the car. Also peak hour on way back from work is the same situation. Lucky there is an off switch

All you have to do is lift off the brake far enough to restart the engine but still keep the car stopped Its not hard to do and is how I manage it all the time. It is possibly illegal to disable a safety part of the vehicle

Getting out of the car causes the stop-start system to require a complete restart.
Stop-start is not a safety feature.
Relaxing the brake pedal causes the DSG to slip the clutch, anticipating moving off - not a good practice.

Can Gateway, Adaptation, change Start/Stop start voltage limit to 12.1 (from 7.6), click Do It!

Doesnt actually The clutches dont engage till the pedal comes up further Creeping in traffic with the brake on lightly but allowing the car to move is what burns them out

Thanks Kiwime for the instructions. I will get my mechanic to disable it on his vagcom when I get the car
