Stop/Start would not be ideal for me as I hit peak hour on way to work and the engine is pretty much stone cold....Start, stop, start, stop...starter motor wear n tear and battery cranking cant be good for the car. Also peak hour on way back from work is the same situation. Lucky there is an off switch

Stop-start is not a safety feature.
Relaxing the brake pedal causes the DSG to slip the clutch, anticipating moving off - not a good practice.
