Hi Guys,
Please forgive me if this has been asked before, i used the search feature and noticed complaints about high oil consumption.. ill get to my point.
Looking at buying a Fabia VRS 2014 (reason i am choosing over a polo GTI is this Fabia has new car warranty and is considerably cheaper then a polo gti)
I was about to go ahead on the purchase but then i started reading the horror stories of the 1.4tfsi motor.
What i would like to know is it really all true... are you guys having constant clutch dramas and constant engine replacements... i read some are up to there 3rd engine under warranty and when they receive there new engines some are faulty straight from the get go...
my plan for the vehicle is to never modify it as it is just a little daily. i have a weekend vehicle that will receive all the modifying goodies. I would like to keep the vehicle for 5 years. Is this a realistic idea or am i just going to be replacing engines under warranty and then when the warranty runs out have to scrap the vehicle?
Please forgive me if this has been asked many times, this is my first post on VW water-cooled.
