Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Airbag concern for Volkswagen Polo

Apologies if it's been mentioned already...

For now, wait for a letter in the mail.

If you're not the original owner, phone your nearest VW dealer with your VIN handy, and see if it applies to your car. If it does, book it in, and have it rectified.

          Airbag recall...

I just called VW South Yarra VIC to book mine in, apparently they know nothing about it. I was told to wait for the letter.

Update: I called VW Customer care, they looked up my VIN number and told me that my Polo is unaffected. So anyone with a new Polo, if you're worried then give them a call on 1800 504 076.

I'm off to a good start on my journey to VW ownership then. Hahaha.

                Campaigns are a good thing.

Rectifying issues before they arise, maintaining the quality of your vehicle.

Letters will be sent, just be patient. No point everyone trying to book into dealers who are unaware then you turn up and theres no parts available.
