  • A/C recirculate

    Hi there,

When I turn the manual AC on in cold mode, the recirculate function comes on by itself. But here's the thing. I can't for the life of me recall if it has always done this.

Is it a normal thing, or has the AC developed a mind of it's own?

    Thanks

thats normal....if you ask for full max cold it auto turns on recirc as if its not drawing warm air from outside it can get colder....VDUB..

Even though it's handy for cooling the car quickly, the Owner's Manual P198 recommends limiting it's use due to possibility of stale air. If you turn the recirculation off and choose demist, it gets turned back on and stays on when returning to the other vents.

To stop it coming on automatically, turn the temperature control 1 notch clockwise from maximum cold setting (fully anti clockwise). It then doesn't activate unless you press the recirculation button. This isn't in the Manual.
