  • GTi exhaust

    Hi,

Upgraded from the 9N3 to the 6R and happy so far

I'd like to get a turbo back exhaust and have been quoted $1,400 by Liverpool exhaust who I've had quite a bit done at previously. That's all mandrel 2.75"

Is this an ok price? Or can someone suggest elsewhere in Sydney/Central Coast?

    Cheers,

    Scott

For turbo back with a cat, that sounds OK.

Would you be better off buying a downpipe rather than having it fabricated?

I'd argue that 2.75" is too big for a 1.4 (id go with 2.5"), but that price sounds ok for a full turboback mandrel bent with cat convertor etc.

Check out the APR or supersprint exhausts for a price and what specs they use. I'm pretty sure APR use a 2.75" turbo back so it should be ok

          Cheers guys,

Yeah I was only going off the fact the APR and Milltek ones are 2.75"

does anyone here have a 2.5" turbo back?

I looked at ordering a Downpipe then getting a catback made up here but they're $1,200 plus postage so would end up more than the $1,400 here.

Reading back through the posts it seems guys have been getting it done for $1,200, anyone know where in Sydney I could get this price?

          Cheers,

          Scott

I have the full 2.75" Milltek turbo back and boy does it knock out a good snap, crackle and pop when giving it the absolute beans.

Can be a little droning just pottering around town in that dumb D mode.

wow that's cheap - less than a third of what I quoted recently

Best exhaust sounds familiar. I think it might be a site sponsor, if not on here then over on PFA
