Interesting that the battery is in the boot as standard. Would make for a cleaner and easier engine bay to work in I assume even if it does take away from some of the boot space.

I was told by vw sales rep yesterday there is a delay on the new polo gti and it's August now.

Dealer location came up as Southern Volkswagen Reynella SA for me. I sent a query off. Seems a bit misleading to post up the latest 1.8 photos and list the motor as the old/current 1.4 in the specs.

Carsales probably didn't have the premade details available for the new gti. I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

That makes sense. Seems it really may be the new 1.8. Let you know tomorrow and I will probably head down for a test drive IF/when one is available.

They said it's the 1.8 in the comments. And it seems like it maybe an ex-demo judging by the amount of kms stated. So it must've been here for a while.

Yes advertised as a 2014 and it may be a one off with future new stock several months away. Find out for sure tomorrow.
