Got my H&R 35/55 springs fron Quadrant suspensions in Melbourne. They recommended the 930kg spring rates. It seems Aussie 77TSI comes loaded with accessories which all add up sufficiently justify using the heavier springs. Not sure if I was sold incorrect springs?

Ps. The different spring rates apparently only apply to front springs. Rears are the same rates irrespective of front choice.

Im currently trying to source a supply and fit for the H&R 25/40. I live in Toowoomba and would be willing to drive to Brisbane.

I can get them for $400 give or take from UK sellers on eBay. Cheapest local quote for fitting only is $300 + wheel alignment. Does that price sound fair?

Contacted orange tuning in Germany and they quoted $300 delivered 😲 I couldn't believe it at first.. Brisbane H&R supplier want $695 fitted ..or just $295 for a fit.. this sound reasonable? anyone?

Just received my 25/40 springs from Orange Tuning Germany. Cant wait to get them fitted!

Doing a little paint work over christmas.. painting the boavista wheels satin black and the calipers red (red polo).

Should look pretty sweet all fitted.. I will update the pics thread when its all done

Had decided to go for the 25/40 springs for the GTI, but was quoted ~NZD$800 down at Precision Wheels for them to source it in and have them fitted :|

Just a weird question, does anyone know what the dimensions of the box is so I can calculate the shipping costs from UK to NZ? I've got a UK address which works wonders with NZ Post so I could get free shipping then from that address the volumetric size and weight towards the shipping bill...

Would be choice to source them in myself at a way way cheaper price and have them fitted in for just NZD$150...

Hey 6316, I just had my springs done by Platinum Wheels a few weeks ago. I ordered my 25/40 springs from Orange Tuning (guy called Frank). Was easy as and really happy with the service.

                                The outer box is: L455 x W290 x H260mm
                                Inner box is: L355 x W240 x H225mm

Weight on the shipping doc was 11kg but that included some OEM mudflaps that were bundled together in one package. So maybe 7 or 8kg at a guess.

I measured before and after with a tape measure from ground to the top of the guard and I had a 28mm drop in the front and 35mm drop in the rear.

Went to Taumarunui and back over Xmas and the ride was ok... occasional 'bouncyness' and the odd thump through the chassis but overall it was ok. Its no stock ride though.
I just wish we didnt have to cert coilovers or thats what I'd do straight away.

Actually, I just re-measured and its 625mm from ground to guard now for the rear which means a 38mm drop and 605mm at the front for a 33mm front drop (my car only has 6000km on it still).

EDIT: Forgot to say I paid NZ$420 to my door for the springs and OEM F&R mudflaps FYI. And I paid $180 @ Platinum Wheels. Just watch how you get the details done on the shipping docs so you don't get pinged $100 or so in duty

                                cheers
