LED interior bulbs dimly on when in 'auto' mode

I've replaced all the interiors bulbs with Phillips LED bulbs and it works fine.

The only problem is that when the front centre dome and back centre dome is on the 'auto' mode (lights on when doors open), the LED bulbs are dimly on. When in the off mode, 100% off.

This must mean there is a small amount of current running when on auto mode.

Is this normal? Can I do something about it?

I imagine it is only noticeable now since LEDs can show some light on very low currents where as on normal bulbs it would show nothing.

Is this going to run the batteries flat?

Ran ross-tech as well, no errors.

It's normal for most leds like that. There is not enough resistance for them to be fully off. The circuit is built to enable a soft on and off effect with filament globes. They won't flatten your battery unless you leave the car for a few months.

so long as battery is ok it doesn't bother me much, its a very soft glow, is there a way to back it go away? maybe if I add a resistor?

Yes you can add some inline resistors if it's that important. Not sure where the best place to do that would be as they will be generating heat constantly. I just ignore it in my cars.
Though different leds will have more or less of a glow depending on how much they draw when the circuit is in standby.

I had the same in my T5 when I changed all globes to LED. A quick solution was to put one normal globe back in on the door step light. This was enough to turn the circuit off. The only shortfall is that I can not turn on an interior light once the CANBUS has timed the lights off when I leave a door open for a while. I need to activate a light through the door light trip.

If they really worry you being on then replace one of them with the oem bulb. This will provide enough draw to shut the others off. Don't use the resisters in he interior as they will be acting all the time and the heat they produce will be over 150 degrees. The load resistors are only good for circuits that are ethier on or off

ive kept the boot light OEM since LED does not hit, but does not seem to work, unless this is on a different circuit to the rest.

Yeah rear boot is a separate circuit to the main interior lights
