I can vouch for the Gummifledge. My new Polo had driver's door squeak issues and I could not find any cause for them. I even tried the rubber hose trick and it did not help at all. I then tried Gummifledge in December last year and it got rid of the noise instantly. 6 months later the interior is completely quiet. I intend to just use this treatment each year or if door rubber related noise recurs. I think I remember reading that this Gummifledge stuff is used in the course of normal BMW servicing by dealers.

It seems to be a good treatment just to preserve the rubber as well, so I used it on all the rubbers (4 doors plus tailgate). Also, when I was researching door noise in the forum archives here last year, mention was made to avoid using polishes or waxes on the painted areas inside the door frames. So I just use the Meguires waterless liguid stuff and a Meguires microfiber cloth for these areas.

This is the best stuff to use. Cheaper than Dupont Krytox paste. Applied for 6 months no creaks till now. Just apply in on the edges of the double and triple seals.

So I bought some 6mm tubing from Bunnings (they only had the clear type) and gave it a go. Seems to have worked for now. Now we just need to get these damn squeaking seats looked at. Drivers and passenger seats are both loose on the base and both make squeaking noises as your weight shifts in them when turning corners etc. One thing at a time, lol.

I'm very pleased to hear that it worked for you
Have you asked a stealership about the seats?

Told them at the 15,000km service the other day. They said they "tightened" the seat bolts and it "tested okay". In other words, they did nothing and now I have to go back again -_-.

Haha yeah that's a bummer. Hopefully they'll fix it this time...

Going to give a try to the irrigation tubing this weekend. This noise drives me nuts!
