Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    VW Longlife Mobility Guarantee??

    Hey guys

    Just have a quick question. I looked everywhere but couldn't find an answer.

    What exactly is "VW Longlife Mobility Guarantee"?? I'm thinking from some things I have read it's Roadside Assistance. But if it is here's my issue. I get all my vehicles serviced by Danny at Ashbury Service Centre in Ashbury, NSW (he's great, great prices, honest service, and only fixes what needs fixing, doesn't add "extra" things to make money, tell him Josh and Mikey sent you) so obviously the logbook didn't have the "mobility guarantee" stamped as it wasn't at a dealer (I brought him VW genuine parts and Liqui Moly oil). If this isn't stamped, does that mean we no longer have roadside assist? Or is this just something frivolous and not needed? If anyone can shed some light on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

    It's not relavent here in Australia.

    As long as the services are stamped by a licensed workshop, you'll be fine.

      Appreciate it. I know it said may not apply to different countries, but wasnt sure. As I could find nothing about it, and was gonna be rather pissed if didnt have the roadside assist just because we didnt go to a dealer.
