I'm not so sure that Newness is a pro, however.
I broke my own rule to never buy the first iteration of a car when I bought my Polo GTI, and boy, have I been stung!
I agree, it is SO tempting, though!

Another pro of buying 2nd hand : less time to wait for the car's warranty to expire, and then it's bring on the mods! (But, of course, the price you pay is
    .. Less warranty!)

When it comes to Volkswagens, my theory is that more warranty = good!

I do drool over the photos you put on Instagram I admit Especially that colour! But think maybe something a bit different for my new car., still at least 2 years away though I'd say.

Been looking at the A3 Sedan though, looks nice! Anyone got any thoughts on it?

Sharpest looking sedan to have been released in a while. I've seen one at my work carpark, it's just got the right proportions, lines...and I'm sure it drives as competently as the hatchback. Not to mention the interior.
Not a fan of the hatch?

        • Rather an estate version of the A3 but yes I believe it's a good looking car

Honestly no, not a fan of the A3 hatch, it just looks like the previous one, a bit dated, and a tad bland in my opinion. But hey that's just me....

Of course manual! Who would ever get a CVT in a sports car...

And yeah what happened to the red-ish ST?

this is a great move, WRX is a fantastic car. now you just need to get a quick tune to get rid of that emission flat spot

It wasn't oil consumption mate, they wouldn't give me back my money after owning the car for two months if it was simply oil consumption...I'll leave it at that. and for sure buddy, I'll hook up with the Sydney crew still and I'm happy to be going back to a Jap car. A lot of freedom regarding modifying / tuning without effecting the warranty

yeah, It must have been a doozy for them to agree a full refund, however with only 2 months ownership, a full refund for a big enough problem is no surprise. I just feel sorry for the poor person that ends up with that car after it's sold as used off the lot

The ST in question, is on a prolonged holiday and I'd suspect it won't be back.
