(Although, unless it was REALLY good value, it would be hard for me to get my head around the looks. Not bad in matte Black though..)
It says in the article that it has a dual clutch and that article is from May 2012 btw.

Yeah, I realise that. But that car is not likely to be within reach anyway.

The Nismo RS is less over the top, but this article - more recent, I might add - isn't so clear regarding DSG.

Ha, far from a dual clutch! It's a CVT!!

pologti18t, yeah I have been getting some disappointing whispers RE Clio EDC and apprehension about the RS Clio....

The standard Juke is a CVT, but the Nismo RS, too? Surely not...

          • The nismo adds a body kit, handling upgrades and some nice interior bits but other than that the drivetrain is the same. The juke with the GTR drivetrain however...

Agreed about the Juke GT-R! But it wouldn't come cheap...

So far 6 months in circulation in Europe / Asia (Bar Australia) and still fairing well...best bet is to wait til the 3rd quarter next year to see real results of how the gearbox fairs. Which is perfect for me!

Looks like a cracker of a car to me, inside and out. Tho I admit after getting used to an auto I don't know if I could go back to manual (yes I'm lazy I admit it ). A lot nicer looking than the Clio in my personal opinion...

My only problem is I keep on remembering "It's a Ford" >.<

I know what you mean, I had an XR5 and these were built in Germany. It did have more of a Euro feel than local Ford offerings and while it wasn't the last word in interior aesthetics or hot hatch handling at the limit it was a decent bit of kit, an enjoyable drive, with a great engine note and was trouble free throughout my two year ownership.I think the new Focus ST would be at least worth a test drive.

                        • I feel the Fords interiors are too "busy" I don't need a full keypad of numbers on my dash. But would be trouble free and a fun hot hatch. My first car was a Laser Tx3 turbo, loved that little thing!

Oh most definitely I will be testing it, so far out of all the hot hatches tested the ST is still ahead of the Golf GTI, Megane RS265 Cup and Skoda Octavia rs.

So far after testing various cars minus the Clio RS, new 2014 Skoda Octavia RS and the Ford Focus ST this is my list:

My top 5 in no particular order:

                            1. Alfa Romeo Giullietta QV
                            2. Megane RS 265 Trophee (2014 facelift).
                            3. Ford Focus ST (not tested)
                            4. Peugeot 208GTI
                            5. Renault Clio RS (not tested)

The problem about our country is we have so much choice, its disgusting in a good / bad way haha.

                            • I work at a car dealership which has Alfa as one of our brands so I see a lot of them I do like the Giulietta, sadly they know I'm not looking for a car so won't allow me to test drive!

What's your opinion of the 208? A fine looking machine...

                                A shame it's Manual only...
