  • Who's touched-up another vehicle, then done a runner?

If you answered in the affirmative, and were in Wagga week before last, then I'm coming for you

Geez, this *****s me no end. Someone swiped the driver's side front guard and door on my GTI in the work(!) carpark, taking paint and creating a few dents I'd rather not have

No note...nuthin'! 4.5K kms, and now I have a "repaired" new car.

$650 later, all fixed, but cranky as a hornet that it came from my pocket and not the other pr!cks.

Crease in the guard isn't as 'sharp' as it once was, but to an untrained eye, it looks fine.

    Anyone fessing up?

I lived in wagga for two years. Apart from my last car being broken into in Melbourne all the other damage it sustained (being all the damage to a car iv owned) was in wagga.
-Someone opened there door into mine in the Harvey Norman car park which left a crease the height of the door.
            - got back into in the underground car park in town.
-had a cement divider pushed into the front bumper and lip spoiler at the Coles in glen field park.
-had the rear left bumper scraped near the pool.
            - and just to finish it off on the move out of wagga a kangaroo jumped into the pax side 2km out of town.

Over the past week i have had 2 door dings!!! and its all because i have been parking in that 90 degree rear to kirb parallel rubbish..... im never parking there again.

On another note i was boxed in once, and my rear touched the car behind so i got out to find our number plates kissing ahahhaha but there was no damage

I was walking through the carpark once and saw the shopping trolley that somebody didn't put in the s.trolley bay, the carpark was on a bad slope and it was notoriously known for that the trolleys that weren't in the bay just started to move and run into the cars. So, I thought I would do the right thing and put it away. The shopping trolley bay was a few meters away and the road was just sloping towards it, so I've aimed at it and let the trolley go, however it must have a dodgy wheel, changed the course and went straight into the old Magna parked next to the s.trolley bay, luckily hitting only the rear bumper, but not before a middle age women made a run for it , trying to catch it, well she was too slow. The Magna was full of the dents and the paint missing on many panels, the trolley didn't do any more damage to the car, but I still didn't feel good about it, knowing that it could hit a much newer car parked next to it.

I've had the odd door knock in car parks, or worse when people clearly walk past and brush their bags across the doors.. it's why I only park in certain car parks and/or spots. No guarantees but at least try to minimise risk. Always funny to see a batch of empty spaces and then a group of immaculate cars grouped together in one spot where clearly the owners work on the 'I won't hit you so you won't hit me' principle.

I've suffered the trolley into the side of the car trick before years ago on a Honda Euro. Managed to dent and mark multiple panels. From memory the repair bill was over $2k - obviously insurance covered it - and the shop owner, under no legal obligation, was kind enough to pay the excess.

I genuinely thought this meant - "who's seen a sexy car, stroked it a little bit, got caught and run off?"
