I think i can safely speak for most members, moderators and Admin that it doesn't matter what car you have owned or currently own, whether you're a P plater or not so long as you're a positive member and contribute to the forums by whatever means and by attending some meets here and there...then you're always welcome...Falcon or not although a VW is preferable hahaha
Also a footnote...does it matter what car anyone has? TSI, GTI etc?
Most of our roads are now on average at 60km/h and average speeds during traffic is around 28km/h peak hour, too many nanny patrollers who throw their toys out of the pram when they see a beautiful glowing flash red GTI blurt right passed them....so in the end, doesn't matter if you own a TDI, TSI or GTI...so long as you're happy with what you buy/drive that's effectively what matters.
Haha if you think a polo ain't spirited going up hills, think again!
I have the smaller 1.2T motor and even when I went on the cruse with the other GTI's, I still managed to keep up doing 100km/h round the mountains. I would only loose them on the straight where their 136kw (compated to my 77kw) leaves me in their soot cloud. For acceration you need tourqe and all the polos have plenty of it, just need to make sure you are in the correct rpm band for the turbo to work hard. >2500rpm <4000rpm
I held my own as well in my manual TSI. I've only had my licence for about 7-8 years (yeah, I know, I was a very late starter!) and had never driven at those speeds before. I did manage to get left behind by Gav on a few occasions and I'm not sure how much was due to my inexperience or the car.
I will say though that I did leave a few GTIs in my wake! Not bad for a chick who handles a stick

Really well said mate
I'll be sticking around here regardless of the make of my first car I've got a while before I get my first car, may even delay it to the end of the year because it will interfere with my studies no doubt. But I'll have several mind changes by then haha.
