On a serious note how hard is your suspension with the h&r's?
Well, it's not soft like stock that's for sure, but it is firm but not harsh...if that makes sense. Lots of spirited driving believe me and over lots of damned annoying speed humps in my suburb

Good to hear. Pretty confident getting the 18x7.5 (Momo Ten-S, from the states) and dumping it down a little. Might expect a little rub here and there but as long as it's legal and not scraping at every turn I'm good. Thanks all.

Contacted a Jap tuning import company to import me some Enkei RPF-1's, 6,5 kg for 17"x8 €1400 delivered without tires.. Thinking to sell some ribs to justify that

Think the GF will kill me for neglecting the repairs on the house just to get even more shiny rims Maybe next summer..

guys, not sure if i should get a staggered setup with 17x8 et 35 on the back and 17x7.5 on the front, or just 17x8 all round.

          opinions?

Hello all, can you post some pictures of the wheels and tyres you have fitted with details of what they are in size?

Would love to see what people are doing.

17x8 RPF1 will have a concave face not a flat face like that photo. only the flat ones look nice IMO

You should be able to get them cheaper. Great rims IMO, light, look good, not too common.

Try tire rack for better pricing.

They look like RPF1's to me... Need some little VW badges to finish it off
Someone should go old school and slap on some phat 5's.

                    • I'm looking into getting Calibre Vintages for my Polo, preferably wanted the wider rears but they're 17x9 any chance they're gonna fit? if not will 17x8J be alright on front and back?

                      • I have 18x8J +35 on the rear with 225 tyres on and they scrub pretty much at every big bump or dip in the road. Even at a high stance they rub. I doubt the rear fenders are much wider than the fronts, if anything i'd say they're about the same

                        • I ran 215's on a 18x9 +38 in the rear with no issues. As low as the KW V1's would go.

Yeah IMO 225 is way too fat for an 8 - that's why you're scrubbing. As BLN355 has pointed out you can go low on the rear with a skinny tyre and you're fine - I'm running a 195 on an 17x8" so it's a little stretch - as low as the KW V1's would go and then some with an adjuster cup and bumpstop delete and I still can't go low enough to scrub on the rear - front's a different story.

Pretty much the same parts when it comes to suspension and how much width you can fit under the arches - you guys can pull off 18's though, that I am jealous off.

OT - ATYPIC are you coming up to Albury for V-Dubs in the Square (28th April QEII Square, Dean Street Albury) - I remember ages ago you saying you have family up this way that's all.
