The sound is a lot deeper and IMO sounds more like a proper sports exhaust. I'll probably get around to posting a small vid of the exhaust at some point. I purchased the item from Orange Tuning in Germany and from memory, it was about 550 Euro delivered, add fitting, and it was about $850AUD all up, not too bad I think.

Unfortunately it seems Orange Tuning in Germany no longer stock Milltek. I have sent them an email anyway.

Price in UK seems to be around 550 euro plus shipping.

i'm guessing the muffler(s) is in the middle and resonator is at the back... has anyone actually had both removed and if so, what was the result?

Muffler is at the back and the resonator is in the middle. What car you got? GTI or TSI?

Rear only on TSI and middle only on GTI. Doing both on either sounds terrible. I have (had) done both on my TSI and it sounded like the car was throwing up at idle - drove me nuts.

Nah man, no power loss or anything. Sounds heaps better..

i'd guess they had other problems.. even a a good straight through muffler is still a very slight exhaust restriction (opposed to a simple straight pipe) removing it should have the opposite effect of the symptoms you mentioned

Finally received my Milltek cat back. Took over 6 weeks UK - Germany - Australia.

I had it fitted today and am very pleased with the result. The standard Milltek cat back retains the existing resonator or mid muffler which I did not want. Ended up with a small 3" SS resonator and SS connecting tubing -

Inside the car is it a lot louder than standard? Would I be loud enough for the gf to complain?
