Just got my polo and within 1 day it was covered in dirt (was raining when i took it for its first drive up mt wellington).
so i had to give it a tub today and took a few snaps (apolagise for the low light it was late. Will get better ones when i take it somwhere more picturesque) im going to do a few mods to the little rocket so as i go ill post them here for all to see including.
-RNS510
-Badge pop out RVC
-speaker upgrades
-slim line sub install
-APR goodies
I know some of these have been done already, but ill try and add some more detail to the installs.

Prob not. If i go that way ill have to take the misses, and she will just moan when i drive quick. so ill just stick to the roads between Richmond and the highwa for now.

So to update a little...

Today i had the windows tinted. Was not very happy with VW and there brochure. it stated that it had "heat insulated tinted windows" my candy white paint was darker. so i got that sorted with some instant darkness.

have ordered to date and waiting for:
-RNS510 2012 H build
-5.5m fakra gps extension cable
-genuine VW badge pop out camera

Im going to connect the shark fin to the RNS with the extension cable. Its a little more work but ill be running the camera cable down there anyway so i might as well go all the way. Iv measured the Golf badge vs the Polo badge and i confident there the same size but if not then i just sell it. only drama i can see over then it not fitting badge wise is the room behind may be different.

Once the vagcom cables are back in stock ill order one so i can recode everything to work.

You are the man readerr0r. now i want be throwing tools because iv pulled it apart but wont be able to make a adapter till i go back in to work. ill make sure iv got some plate to go before i begin.

Update 2.

Installed my RNS510 and used the supplied GPS reciever as im still waiting for my fakra extension to run to the shark fin.




Have been working on the camera install and have produced my prototype adapter for the pop out badge RVC. I used aluminium plate for the first adapter thinking it would be nice and light, but due to the width of the circle to fit in and clear the wiper motor it bends very easy when trying to cut out the shape usng ethier a jigsaw, band saw or dremel. This week ill construct one from steel (maybe even stainless). i wont to get it spot on so i can do a run of 10-20 for others that would like to do the mode. i have mapped out how im going to install it using the kit i got from carsystems. you will only have to tap one wire in to the reverse light. as stated im still waiting for my fakra extension, so when it arrives will start the install, take lots of pictures and write up a full install once completed.

Making the bracket by hand takes a fair while so im looking at getting them cut on a bigger scale using a water jet cutter from a local fabricator. what is the max price people are willing to pay? dont want to get in to deep and find there $100 to pump out each (as an over example) and members are not willing to pay that much.

Hi I would like to buy a adaptor plate or if you arent able to go in to manufacture, how many degrees out is the badge is it 45 degrees . id love to fit the RVC to my sons polo any help would be great TIA
