    Also only one link in all those eBay listing Hail and it was Tempe at $215 but if I call he said $200.

    Still think it might be better to get from Perth as his has 6 months ware on it so it will match the rest and also it's $100 + $40 postage.
    Correct you are, sorry, I got confused with the previous,16" wheeled polo
    GTI.

    I thought that guy was screwing with me but couldn't be bothered going into it.

      Just need to find a courier?
      It will cost you $50-80 to get it couriered over from WA to NSW - and all for a 2nd hand tyre. Dont bother, just buy one from Tempe Tyres for $200.

        I had the same thing happen beginning of May. Beuarepaires Crows Nest had 2 left instock for $207.00 each fitted.
        I started with the Dunlop dealers for my search, none of them had any stock and wouldn't until July. One suggested contacting one of the larger retailers that may have had some and that's where I came up with the above.

        I'd only done 6000ks so there wasn't much differece in tread between the remaining front tyre and the replacement.

          Yeah I might go ahead and get the new ones... Only difference is that these are 87Z's and the Tempe ones are 87v's difference is that there top speed is 240 and the stock are 275km. I honestly don't know if it makes a huge difference but the ones from Tempe aren't fitted.

          I'm also gunna need a wheel alignment to coz I'm pulling to the left heaps. I haven't even looked at the "cannot do a wheel alignment on 6r" thread yet. Also DSG is playing up again. Man don't haven't a fun time with this new car at all.

            Correct me if I'm wrong, but the tyres currently on your car have a speed index of V - which is 240 km/h.

                I dont want to be a pessimist here but,check to make sure no damgae to the wheel,I recently hit a pot hole in my Golf Pirelli,and damaged the wheel(beyond repair although looked like it could be re rolled) as well as punctured the tyre through the side wall,Golf Pirelli alloys, $1162 each,Ouch, New Wheel and new Pzero later I find the rear wheel has also been damaged beyond repair,another new wheel required.(And yes I know I could have bought a whole set of other wheels for less than one wheel)It would'nt have been a Pirelli then,Any how Council claim submitted, the first $1220 of any claim they will not pay regardless,And claim turned down, so now in a Legal dispute with Council over this.

                  In any case, ZR corresponds to 240 km/h+

                  And as shown below, no speed index corresponds to 275 km/h.

                  V = 240 km/h
                  W = 270 km/h
                  Y = 300 km/h
                  (Y) = 300 km/h+

                    Ok WOW.

                    I don't want to sound bad but I feel a lot better knowing that I'm in a much much better situation then you. Soz mate, that must be a bitch?

                    I went to the site today to take photos of pot hole and to my luck it was either 1 patched or wasn't a pot hole because for the life of me couldn't find any road damage.

                    Hope you win out man and you get some sort of compensation.

                      Nah your right they are V he may have been wrong when I asked what Y was... but either way he has V in stock for $200 so I'll probably get that tomorrow.

                      My other question is now that I have noticed that my wheel alignment has been stuffed I went back to my mechanic to get the wheels rotated thinking that the space saver was the culprit for incorrect alignment. I have now got the spare on the back and the back left moved to the front. I am still getting a left pull maybe not as much but its definitively still there. Could this still be because of the rear left being on a spare?

                      Or am I going to need a wheel alignment or whatever you can do on these cars to correct the steering...lol

                        How hard was the hit? There is a fair possibility that the hit (if hard enough to swell a tyre) has knocked something out of alignment, namely the front subframe might have moved on its bolts...

                          Put it this way I've hit that wheel harder but having said that the left front has copped a beating since I picked the car up. It's probably the 3rd pot hole i've hit.

                          Probably not related but I'm also getting weird noises in downing gear changes. More noticable in manual mode.
