  • Article in Wheels mag about 103TSI 1.4 Polo coming?

Would anyone know anything about this? When it will be available? The article says it is the engine that will be in Golf VII. So that means stop start tech as well..

Excellent thank you. Wonder if its simply turbo charged or a twincharged engine though? Ive ordered a 77 TSI because they seem like they have less issues than the 1.4 Twincharged.

Twincharged engine will be no more - effectively replaced by a hybrid engine (petrol + electric) producing similar power (in the Golf 7 at least).

The Polo GT is powered by the new range of petrol turbo 1.4 engines that will also pop up in the Golf.
It's already used in an A1 model. Turbo only, cylinder deactivation.

Didn't VW say they didn't want to invest in Hybrid technology and rather wanted to focus on efficient small engines like the ones they are working on? At 4.5/4.7L/100km (DSG/Manual) they are doing a pretty good job since you get performance AND great consumption.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

The Golf 7 article I read listed a bunch of engines and their power output. There were no superchargers to see, but a hybrid with similar BHP. Not sure about torque though. Link will be somewhere in that Golf 7 thread.
