Not unless you want a legal **** storm, my two cents.

If they have agreed to repair the stuff ups you must give them the benefit of the doubt for up to 30 days.

Failing that speak to the department of fair trade (under mechanics/motor vehicle repair). If you feel its necessary make a point with the case officer to which they will open an investigation.

But do not name and shame on here unless you have a titanium plated door firm against your buttocks.

Well I'm now a bit glad I kept it to myself... And no titanium plated door protecting my derrière
So they have another 30 days before I can take it further? Thats not exactly ideal but I suppose that is a worst case scenario.
I applaude you Hail, you certainly know whats what. Thanks

If you like you can start a case now with the Department of Fair trading, if you have documents like receipts, invoices, transcripts of repair, parts ordered/invoice (ask them where they got the parts from and speak to the dealership/VW requesting an invoice of the parts ordered for evidence) as the repairer cannot order parts without your VIN number which works in your favor if they cut corners etc.

Remember the more hard evidence you have (invoices etc) the better the outcome for the "propper" repair of your vehicle whether they repair it under instruction or having to pay another company to carry out the work "correctly"

          2. The lights on the drivers side had a massive gap on one side and didnt' sit flush with the body (sitting to far in) and the passenger side the lights with jutting out.
          3. The lower grill which houses the fog/static cornering lights had a bulge in the middle of them that made it come away beyond the rest of the bumper.
          4. They left a big paint splotch on the passenger door that the guy said was a paint match that they should have cleaned up
          5. There was damage to the bumper that occurred during the installation on the part on the passenger side as well as damaged that had been poorly/not fixed from a repaired panel
          6. In general the only thing that was consistent was that every part they put on was not lined up at all.
I had the exact same issues when I had my car repaired. Thankfully they weren't so ar#y when I returned the car to have it fixed properly.

The grill issue seems to becoming all too common as there is another forum user who had the same problem. It appears the replacement grills may not be the exact spec of the factory grill because they aren't far enough forward from what I can see...almost like the mounting holes are in a different position which places the grill on totally different angle to the factory one. I've now to learned live with it.

Hey Gumph, hope it all turns out ok for you. This spooked me into checking my policy with RACQ and they offer either a choice of their preferred repairers or a repairer of your choice.

It seems that people who are happy with a panel/paint repair are in the minority.
