I found those wheels for my GTI for 180€ and I'm using them for winter tyres, but they were aesthetically ruined, so I had to paint them...
It's a sin, because the original diamond finish is really great...!

Furthermore ET38 is better than the GTI's original ET46

Anyone can compare weight 16 vs 16? Not sure where to check it.
I am cheap i guess xD

          here they are

Those are some of the heaviest alloy wheels in existence. The 17's have the flat machined face with sharp edges while the 16's have the curved edges and painted surface.

i would probably get 17" GTi rims and paint them black, does anyone know of a good place to get cheap rims, second hand is fine. if not ill probs just end up painting my current rims black. btw i think Denver/Monza look ****ty in black. just my opinion

You'll find a few on the For Sale section on these forums. A lot of polo GTI people sell off theirs on here, I think the usual price is $600?

I'll be selling mine off in a few months myself

That doesn't make sense, the GTI wheels ARE the Denver/Monza wheels and yes, I agree, they look a bit rubbish painted black, too much black surface area.

hazrd had a set of the 16" Denvers painted in an anthracite colour with his 9N3 GTi and it looks MUCH better than straight black IMO. I don't think black looks that good with dark blue (my matt black ProRace 1.2s look pretty poxy with my dark blue 9N IMO )

On the shadow blue, if want darker wheels, I wouldn't go any darker than the Vw colour pepper grey metallic.
