  • Used Polo's ...

I noticed (well it was pointed out) a yellow Polo in the local dealer so I thought I would stick my head in and have a look see since my order for a yellow one was cancelled earlier this year.

To my surprise it was a second hand unit with a shade under 15,000 on the clock, 77TSI, DSG with what looked like no options. I'm sure the build said 04/2010, but then I wasn't looking all that hard after seeing the price...

    $24,990

Right, considering the list on a new DSG is ~$26k how do you list a second hand 12mth+ old car for that money?

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Considering who your local dealer is, it wouldn't surprise me if he had a shot at $29990.

Agree, used car pricing is totally bizarre sometimes. I assume he loads it up so that he can then load up the trade-in.

After struggling to post the information on the car in question because I was laughing so hard about it, I'd avoid the dealership like the plague as a result of seeing that.

Carsales have some 1.2TSI models listed for nearly 32K drive away.

I did notice at least one of those

Pretty much all the option boxes ticked:
Sports Package, Metallic Paint, Comfort Package, Leather Trim, Panoramic Sun Roof & Audio Package

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Just noticed there are 14 GTIs on carsales.

These seems reasonable for someone in SA
