Reverse camera for the 6R & RNS510?

think u misunderstood me tho
when i installed the camera and screen last week (b4 the fix with relay switch), at night time with car power on but engine not started i tested without headlights on which would still have license plate lights off BUT left reverse light with or without foot break lights on and the night time picture is just fine.

then i turned on the headlights where the license plate lights turned on and then it whitewashed.

when i say whitewash its like the whole screens been painted white or i have a ghost behind my car playing with me.

thus google search and its a common issue with those types of license plate light/camera combos.

im not sure if it will also happen with cmos versions as they need more light than the sony ccd type that i have.

Had a similar problem when I had a rear bar on the Cruiser and the number plate light was at one end.

I made a hood above the plate out of angle plastic which stuck out horizontally about 25mm and that fixed it.

Maybe a little hood around the camera about 20mm to keep the extraneous light out will help.

Make something out of cardboard and get someone to try different positions to see whats best, remembering I think it is an offence to not have numberplates lit at night.

the left license plate light goes off only when its in reverse and headlights are on otherwise its always on when headlights are on

then again ccd cameras dont need alot of light and when theres too much it goes spastic im assuming when its already in its night type of mode
