Aah well.
Either way, if you want this kit, email a German dealer and buy it from the, get them to send it out, then take it and your car to a local body shop and have it painted and fitted. It's the same process your dealer would use. This way you don't have their commission added at every step

Update: Sent an email to contact in Germany
I will let everyone know how i go hopefully this pays off and we can organise a group buy to reduce shipping fees!Last edited by Hail22; 19-10-2011, 04:56 PM.

The Polo R line's kit retains the fog lights that the 77TSI and GTI come with I believe.
As for a contact, PM Ozram and see if he feels his contact that gets the Golf boys the LED tailights can help.
I haven't personally corresponded with the contact, so I don't know what his English is like and whether he can answer detailed questions etc. But especially if you know the part numbers required and all that, he's been excellent thus far.
My main concern would be shipping sizes. Once you get to a certain size, the post and courier companies won't handle it and it has to come via container freight... if that happens, then other solutions would need to be investigated.

Sent an email off to said contact
He has a fairly decent translating device
So be it i rather organise a container with some Watercooled monkeys if need be than pay some shonky dealers so called "commissions" erhmmm kick backs.
All i will say is watch this space!

Don't VW Australia already sell a bodykit for the Polo as an accessory?
The R-line kit looks remarkably similar to the kit available in Australia except for some of the detailing.

yeah it is, but the front bumper extension is included/moulded in and it looks like they have used the GTI bumper as the basis for it, albeit with a few different touches in the grill area....sigpic

My wish list for an R-Line package for the GTI would be:- R Front Bumper
- R side skirts (maybe with black additions like the GTI normally has)
- Keep the GTI rear bumper and diffuser the same (unless it could have split exhausts like the Golf GTI or central twin exhausts like the Golf R)
- 17" R rims like on version at the Frankfurt motorshow
- The standard GTI Alcantera sport seats but with R logo and maybe coloured stiching
- Audio upgrade (it's standard now isn't it?)
- Xenon Lights
- R door sills
- R front grill
- R badge on the back but still with the GTI badge (GTI-R)
All for about $3900 on top of the RRP would be good price point

Also got news my custom Talladega Replicas are finished in the UK 5x100 Stud pattern 18x7.5 got it in a Matte black powder coat finish.
So by getting the front bumper, skirts, roof spoiler, shark antenna, steering wheel i will be one happy Aftermarket Baby R look alike owner xD

okie dokie, i need some Water cooled assistance.
Can anyone on here tell me where i can possibly look to find the part numbers for the R-line?
Reason is good news we can get them to AUSTRALIA!
Bad news is that there is 5 different rear bumpers, 5 different side skirts, and so on
Help me help Watercooled!
