Has anyone sold a new Polo (particularly GTI) yet? If so why?

I was the same when I was looking. I too was offered the CW GTI with everything at CCC in March but for high $30s. Too much for a small car.

I did the drive back from Wagga and it was fantastic. 28 litres is all it took! Just have to watch the needle on the highway - not a fan of the red and blue lights. Would do it again.

Yep, me sentiments exactly re: the specced up Polo. If I was going to drop 37k on a car I would have just blown an extra 5 and gotten a golf gti or a WRX.

Sabby - my friend told me about her boss that rang around the State and drove to Wagga to get a Polo Gti. Wonder if it's you lol

I got sick of waiting for a non-existant date on the GTI I ordered, especially when I rung around and discovered one in stock at a rural dealer and snapped it up straight away. Wasn't in the spec I wanted though (not even close -- wanted a sunroof badly!).

So I'll probably sell the one I own when the one I ordered last January finally arrives! Probably won't have to drop the price much either!

Good pick-up. I checked the other day and there were only about 7 nationwide. It's scary to see them pricing up in Golf Gti territory but I guess it's fully optioned. I hate to think about re-sale in 3-5 years though if you dropped 39k on a Polo Gti.

I got the polo gti leather, sun roof and bi xenon "because" I like it compact. And the golf gti was just to large of a car for me.

I am your 'example'! Had my deposit down on a CW 5dr with all the fruit except leather/sunroof.....was $37.3k on road. After delivery kept being pushed back, and eventually into 2012, they offered me a Golf GTI (manual...yay!) for $42k driveaway.....sold. Had it 4 days later after they got it ready for delivery.
