  • Has anyone sold a new Polo (particularly GTI) yet? If so why?

Hopefully not too much of a troll post but seeing as I've got all the time in the world to decide if I want a Polo or Golf Gti I was wondering if anyone has sold one yet and for what reasons? Too soon?

As one of the first people to get the new Polo GTI.

I have no desire to sell.

Hopefully getting it tuned on the weekend.

Well all that seems to be available is the the ECU tune.

I'll get it done by APR at Muller and Muller.

I will do the CAI/Exhaust/Swaybars when they become available.

Not to be a forum nazis...but it would be nice to stay on topic and leave this off topic item left for PM's?

Molotov: I don't see why anyone would want to sell their car mate, however i have seen 3 for private sale.

Yeah, I've noticed a few for Private Sale and thought maybe they're either opportunistic or it wasn't what they were after. I keep reading the UK reviews and not 1 of them raves about it the same way our reviewers do.

Curious to see if anyone bought one, was slightly underwhelmed after all of the hype and then decided to step up to a Golf Gti/Golf R/Audi A1 or otherwise.

The OP asked a question..I answered...

I do know that if my car was ever in an accident and written off, I would just step up to the Golf GTI.

Thanks for keeping an eye out mate. I'm a weird fish in that I either go for a top-spec with everything or a lower spec with nothing. Bi-Xenons and a Sunroof would see that thing at about $36-37k on road I'm guessing (without discount). If I could order a fresh one it'd be 3 door with audio & comfort at most. I know, I know, beggars can't be choosers.

I turned down a Candy White 5 door with Bi-Xenons and Leather/Alacantra (due in October) at Chatswood Classic Clowns for similar reasons.

Only seven Polo GTIs on Carsales - VOLKSWAGEN POLO GTI DSG Cars For Sale - carsales.com.au - carsales.com.au

All except two seem to have no options. None seem anywhere cheaper compared to buying one new, considering you still them have to pay stamp duty.

That was my car posted as a link for sale. I only sold it because we needed the extra space for a third passenger at times in the rear seat. We have two baby seats that took up all the available space. We traded the Polo in for a Golf GTi.

I got the polo gti leather, sun roof and bi xenon "because" I like it compact. And the golf gti was just to large of a car for me.

I was the same when I was looking. I too was offered the CW GTI with everything at CCC in March but for high $30s. Too much for a small car.

I did the drive back from Wagga and it was fantastic. 28 litres is all it took! Just have to watch the needle on the highway - not a fan of the red and blue lights. Would do it again.
