I had auto lights on my MKV Golf GTI, then I had manual lights on my 9N3 Polo GTI. So in the Polo I just got in the habbit of turning them on as soon as I got in the car, and off as I turned off the car (it beeps if you forget). It didn't have DRL's like the new one, so it was probably a good thing to have lights on anyway.

Also, in my experience, more options means more things that can go wrong, I feel pretty comfortable that if the auto thingies break then they are going to cost more than $500 to repair.
Anyway just my opinionSword Dude

Auto headlights and wipers seem like a gimmick to me that any nut behind the wheel could manage manually.
But each to their own...I would rather spend the money on something that enhances the performance.Sword Dude

On topic i guess it's ones given choice to purchase "the help" or those who prefer to use that money to put towards a stage 1 tune etc.Last edited by Hail22; 04-08-2011, 06:37 PM.

just saw this thread backlinked in another thread on here...
did you manage to find your dusk sensing headlights?
lol... i dont think i will ever understand the need for self-wiping bottoms, just in case you forget to wipe it yourself, and find yourself scratching your butt and coming up with lots of mud under your fingernails...
at least we can see the future... the moment that renault deliver rain sensing wipers / dusk sensing headlights as standard in the clio, i know that it's game over, and that the true, simple, raw hot hatch has died forever...
(just being silly)
