Plus some idiot designer made the once lovely face of the clio look like it just got busted up in a bar brawl!

Capercat, I have a RS200 Throphy too, and honestly I don't fancy it around town. Ride is jarringly hard, and no torque means slow car around town. Sure it is great on the track and in the mountains, but I have other cars that are much faster for those purposes. Besides, why wouldn't you just use your Cayman S as a daily driver?

Gee wizz how many cars do you have
It's no harsher than the Cayman S (without PASM) or my GTI with Bilsteins/H&R bars. Yere it does take time to adjust to the ride, but it's just so addictive & chuckable! Anyhow I understand why people couldn't live with it as a daily. I'm just a handling addict

how about a ****ing spoiler alert in your thread title.
I like to read the whole article before finding out who the winner is
Volkswagen Australia issued the press release on Friday 8 July with no embargo. I posted it to AUSmotive three days later on early Monday morning. I only buy copies of Motor once or twice a year so I'm not familiar with its schedule and given the aforementioned I was under the impression the BFYB issue must have been already released.
Had I known it wasn't I would have waited.

I was considering the RS200 too, but I'm in the same boat as many here; awesome car, but not as a daily drive.
I think the extra 10k is worth it for the performance gains (fitting aftermarket suspension, seats and brakes for the GTI would easily cost that), but I couldn't go bast the Polo's BFYB. That and I had a budget.
Personally with 40k to spend, I'll have the GTI as I've ordered it and splurge the remaining 8k on an original Mk I MX-5 with change left over for some slight mods. That'll have my commute and weekends sorted.
Now just to seek approval from the Minister for War & Finance..MkV GTI Pirelli | APR tune

Renault is Manual only, which already owning a DSG car, makes the Polo GTI less desirable to me anyway.
