New Climatronic group order

Hi there!

Reading HERE, I saw many (if not all) of the POLOs equipped with Cilmatronic have the panel with BLU background and BLACK cyphers.



On the linked thread I saw the new one has BLACK bacground and WHITE cyphers as the gauges. This panel had to be introduced in 2011.5 MY



I started looking for it, but the price (almost 350 EUR), is too expensive in my opinion.

Looking on a German Website (Motor-Talk.de), I found the new type thanks to a guy (nickname Campagnolo) who lives is Prague, Czech Republic) and who is able to get the panel for:
- Original produced by Continental (same factory as the old one) for 200 EUR
- China clone for 160 EUR

I have no idea if shipping can be included BUT the price is definitely affordable; I believe as well that if shipping is uniquie You will be able to save some money extra (no idea if price can be reduced if purchasing a certain amount of pieces of it).

In Italy we're thinking about purchasing a minimum of 5 (if not more). If any of you are interested in it, contact the guy himself giving my name as refferrement (my nickname in that forum is BENJA1)

I was thinking the same thing!

Adding a GTI wheel to get paddles on a 77TSI, now that'd be worth the effort (upto a price of course)

Note: Body seems different but checking with white led lights it's the same and it matches with the rns frame and steering wheels buttons!

I asked my contact in Prague to quote me the shipping till down-under; be aware he can specify gift or sample on the recepit BUT if there are custom taxes You have to pay them; item in Europe from Prague is: 210 eur with Satin knobs (as mine, vs 350 Eur from dealer) and 160 with Chrom knobs.

Anyway as long as I receive quotes I'll post them here! Payment is via money orde, he doesn't accept paypal yet

Just a heads up for those looking around using a part-number based search the supposed latest PN from VW (6R0 907 044 E) is still a blue screen with black writing so don't use this number as reference.

Has anyone got the new climate control display in their car yet? I should be picking up my car next week and will be surprised to see what its got.

I don't think you will, but you might be lucky. A guy in the UK picked his car up last week, maybe week before and so far, it is the first GTI to have the new climatronic display.

If indeed yours does, don't suppose you might be able to pop up a photo of the part number for us all...?

Yeah the guy in the UK's car was prob built way after mine i'd say considering the 2 month boat ride my car had.
If it is the new one i'll let you know
