Just saw a candy white 3 door with euro plates fanging the other way through the back streets of Taren Point. Looked nice. Sounded louder than mine, some exhaust work maybe

I've seen quite a few red tsi with the sunroof, but mine's the only one so far with euro plates.

The white gti would be frostee....his number plates are actually NODDY (or NODDDY?)
    Hey apples!

Wow you must have a twin then as this one has the sports/roof/euro plates combination!

nomad I will definitely keep an eye out for you! So strange I haven't seen you considering I live in that area LOL!!

Also about your vinyl roof if you need a hand taking off the antenna let me know as I have taken mine off several times I can lend a hand!

Before you say "Speeding" allow yourself some time to read this and watch the video:

That's a MKVI GTI, food for thought. Speed kills especially on "public" roads.
Please point where they mention speed was a factor in this accident? I agree ppl have died on Great Ocean Road from speeding but there was no mention in this video.

I've seen a lot of stupid driving on this road over the years and I can tell you that most of them were below to speed limit and advised speed limit.

I couldn't agree more! If I ever have time I want to go to a defensive driving course and see how far I can really push my car and how to control it in various situations. When I went for my P's I found that not enough time was spent on proper car control but mostly what speed I was doing in the 40 zone.

No idea, and with your reply I don't take offense to "information" just wanted to put forward my view

Also if Australian Authorities really wanted to reduce fatalities on our roads...then they should have a licensing test regime like Finland does (have to complete a rally drivers course).

Everybody speeds, it's inevitable to happen and impossible to prevent, especially at hills. I just let it coast down.

I Know what you are saying and everybody has their opinion to things so don't take anything personal from this but I find the term "speeding kills" to be way over publicised by the media and local government. Many counties that I have seen, been and driven in (mostly Northern Europe) emphasise driver skill and knowledge over enforcing speed.

Don't get me wrong doing 20km/h over the speed limit in residential streets I would say is quite inappropriate but then it comes to freeways I slam my baby in sport shove it round the on ramp and get it to about 150...and then I slow it down to the limit 'cos obviously I don't want a ticket now do I. But really I tend to do 3-5km/h above the limit in most streets just to keep up with the flow of traffic, not that I purposefully do it but if I sit dead on the limit people fly around me flashing lights and beeping horns. (I think my speedo is out about 5 km/h)

I unlike other inconsiderate people take off at the lights with haste so everybody behind me can get through as well. The freeways should be faster in my opinion, the autobahns are unlimited (in safe sections) and is what these cars are designed for

...But then again most people out there can't drive properly and don't know about keeping good stopping distance wet or dry / day or night, limits of their cars and even how to properly manage their lights (blinding Rear fog lights on the Hyundai Excels anyone? Or using front fogs instead of dipped beam)...so maybe that's not such a good idea.

But I can respect your concern and don't think of me as your common falcodore bogan doing burnouts while doing u-turns. No I never ever do stuff around other drivers and would call my driving style "highly spirited" when I'm driving for fun. In the morning and afternoon during the work run everybody drives like grandmas...

If you would like to speed, throw your money at a track days. You may of just been using that word as it was the first thing that came to your mind.

Please don't take this as an attack on you or anything mate, I'm just a messenger passing on the message of "common sense"
