though beleve me, they do get warm, I'd say around the 40 degree mark, not enough to inflct a full on burn though but you sure do notice it after you touch them!

All the Euro cars I have owned have had heated side mirrors, and they all switched on automatically, as has been mentioned before.
BTW, do you have a sunroof 77kw polo TSi? May need some more room for that inflated head....enjoy buddy.
