Ahh you are right. 20/35 is the springs I got.

Must have though 40 because that is the profile of the tyres I was looking at haha.

hey mate, the 8.5's might indeed be illegal, but at any rate i think that the 25 offset will be the killer. however much wider the wheels are, you have to then add around 20mm to the width of that, and that'll tell you how much 'poke' you'll be getting. my guess is too much - with 8.5inch wide wheels with the right offset, i reckon you'd probably be sticking out of the guards a bit, but with a 25 offset (on a car whose stock wheels are like +45), i think it will give you dramas.

someone did theirs in black and a forum member posted a pic, it wasnt very flattering. on candy white i reckon it'd look better in anthracite.

some folks might say they're a little too small, but i think that they look really nice and understated - the yellow fog lights look great too

the only thing that you need to do is get some good quality tyre coating on there!

Thanks! I would've gotten 17's, but I was limited by the lack of proper winter tires (none available in standard 215/40-17" size). Yeah, the tires and the whole car is dirty in the picture. Nasty installation grease on the tires, have to clean them asap.

Guys, i need help. Looking at a set of these to fit on my 6r GTI. Question is, do they suit? Also, what do i need to look out for in terms of fitting? Looking at 17x7 so won't be an issue sizewize, more concerned about offset and so on.

what coulour is your car mate? they'd look good on a red or black car in my opinion but ultimately it's up to you

the boavistas are 17x7 5x100 ET46 so if those wheels are the same you'll be right

Thanks mate, its a candy white GTI. From what i understand they are 17x7 5x100....but offset only up to +45mm. Would this mean they won't fit?

45 will be cool, 1mm won't make a difference
