I have heard polos with 18 x 8's but not 8.5's. To me 8.5 inches wide to me seems too wide for the Polo, sure maybe a Golf MKVI or MKV again this is from a theoretical perspective as i haven't seen 18 x 8.5s on a polo.Originally posted by Gtiwillis View PostThis is only my second post so hoping to get the hang of it soon
Anyways might seem like a stupid question but.
Would a set of wheel 18x8.5 et25 fit on a 6r gti? Or am I
Dreaming
Any help or feedback would be appreciatedLast edited by Hail22; 21-08-2011, 03:33 PM.

It's because they used a lens/effect which is known as miniature but theres another name for it but I can't remember, my sisters got a camera with the effect it makes the photo look like the I-spy books

I don't think 8.5 inch wide wheels are legal on the GTI. Check with your states regsOriginally posted by Gtiwillis View PostThis is only my second post so hoping to get the hang of it soon

Just a note: If you've chosen to purchase H&R springs, they've now changed the spring ratings to Front: 20mm Rear: 30-35mm.Originally posted by Hooti3 View PostI ordered 17x8 Oz Superturismo GT's.
I think they will look good especially with the car lowered 25mm at the front and 40mm at the back.sigpic

I used the offset calculator and it told me it will push the rim out by 41mm over
standard. seeing I don't have the car yet I'm not sure how much space is between the
Wheel and fender on the gti!
I have a set of bbs lm's of my brothers Audi lined up and I love those wheels lol
