I use the following however some people are different i like to use low acidic grade washers/cleaners

Wash: Mcguiars Nxt Generation Car Wash

Interior seats/carpet: Mcguiars Cloth & Trim Cleaner

      clean/prep: Swissvax Cleaner Fluid

Wax: Swissvax Concorso (yes i know its exy, but she stays fresh and looking brand new)

      Tyre Gloss: Swissvax Pneu

      Wheel cleaner: Swissvax Wheel

then finally wheel protection: Swissvax Autobahn Wheel Wax

When it comes to that full list i only use all the detailing crud once every month or two months depending on weather and where i have been (contaminants, road tar, bug, bird poop etc)

But usually just the first two is what i use on a regular basis to keep the car smelling/looking great.
You use such good detailing products, Swissvax, and then you're using Megs shampoo (which is alright, used it for a while) and their cloth/trim cleaner, which is pretty crap... used it years ago, but :/

Get some Aerospace 303 for everything non-fabric (dash, trim, exterior rubber and trim) and go with some Nanolex or g|techniq fabric/carpet sealant

oooooh i actually need a new dash, trim cleaner thanks Corey!

Megs for just once every week to wash the car down is fine for me right now, i run out in a few weeks then i will be buying nothing but Swissvax especially Swissvax Car Bath Used that on the bro's GTI.....god it means what it says only a small cap, warm water and she is safe (I NEVER USE COLD WATER WHEN WASHING! always luke warm to help aid removal of bonded contam, poop...the more you rub and apply pressure to remove a mark the more spider webs created in the Clear coat!)

          • Just got my new black dash mat from AccessoriesOnline.com.au

Fits perfectly, passenger airbag cover won't restrict the airbag when deployed. Also comes with Valcro strips that stick it to the dash.

Highly recommend this if you are looking for a dash mat.

            • Just gave scarlet a wash today, used my karcher pressure washer and the solution that cam ewith it. Wiped it off with a chamios. Looks sweet. Cleaned the bovistas with a rag, the look so sweet with a clean car Vacuumed the interior also.

In other news found 2 stone chips in the bonnet. I bet it was the douche bag in the commodore that flicked up a stone the first day I had her!!!!

Need to put something on it.

Speaking of stone chips etc, a few weeks back in Sydney we had some pretty serious rain...well i was just about to leave when our garbage truck came to pick up the bins....

Long story short, dropped the bin the bin rolled down, hit the car and had quite a verbal stoush with the driver he decided to drive off quite...fast lol.

So at the end of all of this my car finally got the payout approved from "said" garbage company in order to repair my car to a new finish.

Goes in this week with 10 microns of CC being put on top (note to self even if in a hurry never park on the road...park in the garage)

                    • picked up whiteline RSB today and just installed it. car seems a bit creaky on the bumpy roads. are you meant to use all of the grease? i only used like half. also how far apart should you space the brackets? like as far apart as possible until the bar bends down?

                      • Yeah, you have to be liberal with the grease, polyurethane bushes are squeaky as hell without it. If you're within around 80-100mm from the bends you will be fine

                        • just applied all the grease and went for a drive again still quite noisy :/ like all the grease kinda squeezes out when you tighten the bush. could the noise be because iv tightened the bushes too much?

                          • Washed, clayed and Nanolexed my car this weekend... Looks sharp! Beads nicely, too.

Thanks to Car Care Products - particularly Pierre who had to endure all my e-mails - the products arrived the NEXT DAY!

Done on August 13... let's see how long the Nanolex lasts...

here are some photos of the installation. as you can see its quite greased up. can anyone see if i might of done anything wrong leading to the creaking noise?

                              • Nope, I can't see anything untoward in your install.. Oh wait, yes I can. The back of your D bushes are resting on the torsion beam, there should be another plate there, I'll run outside and grab a photo of mine for you....
