So after months and months I have finally retro fitted myself some OEM Xenon headlights, these are Halogen inside but the rest remains OEM.
Installing them took about and hour or so with the help from nomadx38 (kudos) and now the car looks awesome.
2 issues I have found 1 being a pain when turning the power steering tends to drain the power so the DRLs flicker and it's quite annoying I have only tested this in my car park so I will test out on the road and if it's ok it probably wont bother me. The other issue is that the lights look to be RHD but they say LHD on the lights them selves. Have a look at the pics i attached.
I'm not to bothered honestly and if I get used to it I'll be fine... I wonder if there is a fuse missing the DRL's normally have can anyone confirm?
I'm a newb so I could be entirely wrong.Last edited by Bassik; 28-03-2013, 07:26 PM.GOLF GTI MY11 ADIDAS Candy White, Sunroof

Skoda Octavias have an adjustable plate in their lights so that when you go from the UK to Europe, you can flatten the beam. Would your lights have something like that?carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic

Yeah mate, xenon globes or not you are going to be blinding the crap out of oncoming traffic like you have your high beams on.
There are however 2 adjustment screws on each light (1 is up and down, the other left to right) which will allow some tweaking but you need VCDS to set the new position as the home position on a level surface.sigpic

All this time I thought Aust was LHD but obviously I'm wrong... Ahh crap. So now I have 2 serious problems. Is there a way to convert it?GOLF GTI MY11 ADIDAS Candy White, Sunroof

haha... yeah I guess so but I didn't think of it as where the driving seat is I was taking it from more LHTraffic we drive on the left hand side although our seating position is on the right.
Well anyways turns out yes Australia is LHT which in turn means we have our lights calibrated to RHD. In my stupidity I bought them not know or at least thinking I was correct all along...GOLF GTI MY11 ADIDAS Candy White, Sunroof

Anyone have any understanding or idea of how I can reduce the flicker LED under low idle and steering?
Maybe that's another thread...**GOLF GTI MY11 ADIDAS Candy White, Sunroof
