What have you done with your Polo so far (and today)

Bought for $80 thousand (As i requested a fresh set of race tyres and a new engine with the vehicle).

Please note as its a Carrera cup car as per regulations etc the cars are LH/German built factory racers.

Also taken at the Vendors the car next to our new track car is for sale its a 2011 GT3 currently at $200k however you get tools, spare box, trans and engine sounds like a good deal to me

Yeah but its not road legal...so its a double edge sword.

Sure its great for track days but thats about it, can't just hop in and drive home xD

plus it was a joint buy between the boys in the family xD hahaha.

Unfortunately yes as I mentioned earlier, as we get older we want to get married blah blah blah etc.

So my budget for motor work etc is on the kerbs for at least 3 years (As I would like to keep the polo i will buy the new A-Class) thus not a whole lot of change in spare to do the project for quite some time.

The positive is I have the main guts for the project the negative is who knows what position i will be in to do it in the years ahead (marriage etc etc).

Worse case scenario I will sell all the parts i have purchased if i see in the future I lack the time to start/complete the project.

haha, okay... thats the skyline/honda forums though... i'd expect a better class in here

awesome buy though... shame its not street legal but still great fun none the less...

A picture of the steering wheel control I added a couple of months ago: really simple to be installed on GTI, because of the paddles presence, is enough to buy the controls (pulsanti comandi doppi --> 5K0998537B 108,08€ +vat) and everything is already prepared to receive it...
Really useful, permits to have new funcion on the board computer dispaly while driving and beautiful because red backlit.
Chack the correct code part for your car, becase may be different if you have or not the board computer...

I think in Europe the multifunction steering wheel is an optional extra. Where as here its standard equipment. So he has installed the steering wheel post delivery.

Ahh ok, no worries. I spent a while looking at it and thinking I just couldnt see what the extra part/s was LOL. Standard on all i think as we have BT phone throughout the range as standard now. Someone will chime in who knows better perhaps?
