Polo GTI Pricing and Specifications Thread

Wondering if anyone can clarify for me if the “Shadow Blue Metalic" that is exclusive to the Polo GTI (according to VW brochure) is the same blue as the previous model GTI?

I have only found some photos taken with an iPhone from a sighting in Sydney and it looked a “really" dark blue, but didnt look to be a sunny day etc etc.
Want to see this colour in the flesh......other wise another candy white as we wouldn't risk ordering this colour sight unseen.
Shame there's no metallic greys in the GTI line up for us......very limited colours in GTI range if you don't want white, red or black....oh and silver......missed out on the carbon steel grey in the Golf GTI and initially thought we would be able to get
a grey this time round until we saw the colour chart ......then there is always the comfortline Polo....nice grey.

I made the same observation. Boring colours in the Polo GTI range. A mid grey metallic would be great.

Neither VW dealership local to me have it coming in the next batch either, do like the CW, just wanted a change this time, like a NICE METALLIC GREY!!!!!!!

Looks like CW it is if deciding on the GTI.
Now in hindsight, where was the Golf GTI carbon steel grey when we needed ya, oh that's right none available for 5-6 mths.
That wait sounds good compared to what we have been told for the Polo GTI... sigh

and the blue is just blech, nothing exciting about it

There is a whole thread on this in the MKV Golf section - read it before u buy. i've been thru all this. There is a place down south that is the cheapest to buy from. But wait until the 3 yrs is up. I paid about $1100 for my current GTI

First post here

I'm after a stock 5 door white Polo GTI. Got offered list price from Camberwell VW. What price should I be targeting considering i'm eligible for several of their discount programs (Australian Computer Society, my employer etc)?

Also, any tips on how to avoid the 6 month wait? I'm hoping to find a dealer with unfilled orders. So far i've found a Demonstrator in NSW that fits my exact spec but would prefer new. I've also tracked down a blue 5 door & black 3 door w/ sat nav both due in Feb 2011. Will be calling a heap more dealers tomorrow but is this the best approach? Surely there's an easier way to just hand over my money and buy a car

can someone clarify the RCD510 & MDI option:

does this unit actually provide more power to the speakers, or is it just more features and stacker and touchscreen and sd card slot etc...? I found the RCD310 a bit underdone power and clarity wise....
