I just ordered a 3 door, black, with sunroof, bi-xenons, comfort pack and audio pack, it came to $35,820 after corporate discount.

My dealer said the demos are arriving at the moment, stock for sale should arrive early January, otherwise it's order and wait

Also... the January stock will not have many options....

IE - You could get a comfort pack, but not Bi-Xenons.

Order & wait seems the way to go

The only option I didn't go for was the Polyester/Pleather (Alcantara/Leatherette).... Purely because it's a seat style downgrade. I really wanted heated seats though having had them on my last car

Haggle room...

Hi all,

I've just got back from test driving the new Polo GTI in Sydney (awesome), and subsequently put a deposit down to hold one that the dealership had incoming. The dealer said they had 7 on the way (5 door, without any options), and out of that 7, 3 were already sold.

I need a new car asap, and I'm not after any of the options. Ralfi's post (http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/f128...tml#post591682) convinced me that they're not necessary.

The dealer said if I purchased now, I'd have the car maybe mid December - which sounded great compared to some of the times you guys have been talking about, but anyway...

...the point of my post is, how much haggle room do you think there is on the price they're asking, which is:

Price: $28,990
Dealer Delivery: $2,995
CTP: $429
Stamp Duty: $960
Private Registration: $334
-------------------------
Driveaway: $33,708
-------------------------

I'd probably pay the full price before they sold it to someone else....

Dealer delivery could be worked on, they could easily round that off to 2,900 that is a saving of $95, then see if there is any Polo GTI freebies you could get e.g. polo shirt, etc.

The $2995 dealer delivery is pure profit... so hit them on that.

I just went for a test drive of a Polo GTI and thought it was great. When I came to a price there didn't seem to be any movement at all even when I mentioned corp discount. Mind you I had already got a corp discount at another dealer ($2400 less)
