I'm gonna ponder this today, but agree Scott is definately on the money. What's the chances of moving the battery back, or drawing air from the passenger foglight shroud area?

Don't think you could move battery, it is well secured. I have the sports pack so I use both fog lights... Or did you mean somewhere else?2020 VW Golf RComment

The turbo inlet is also tiny. If ther must be a bend before the compressor inlet, theres merit in keeping the pipe diameter smaller, as it keeps the air velocity through the bend high, which keeps flow into the compressor happy when its spooling (coming on throttle). It might be worth measuring the pressure drop as was done on the last Polo...
I can see what you are saying and that the flow looks restricted, but if you test it you may see that the intake is not overly restrictive and that cash could go elsewhere...
From memory, it was the MAF that posed the biggest restriction in the last Polo GTI.Comment
