If your trade in is worth around 5000 - 6000 (+ cost of premium plate) then I think you did ok

Picking up my GTI on Tuesday

Any running in tips? I assume just drive normally and avoid sitting at constant RPM's for too long. What oil comes in the car from new and should I be checking and topping up at any specific interval?

Check oil weekly for first 5000km atleast

I got it from John Oxley Motors in Port Macquarie, they where doing a special last month and the one that I got just happened to have Bi-Xenon's included.
