If you want a decent quality oil that is the correct spec for the Polo GTI and readily available (and often on sale) at Supercheap Auto/Repco etc then they are these ones. But basically you want an oil that is VW Approved and meets the VW504/507 specification. Also the older VW502/505 specification is ok too.

Personally I have used the Penrite and the Nulon in my cars, but since discovering the Gulf Western id be interested to try that.

Been using Penrite 5-W30 ENVIRO +approved oil since 2010 in all my Vw's Buy it on special and save it up for the next oil change. Never have I ever had to top one up except when idiot apprentice shortfilled at a change. Dont use the similar looking GF or +5 version
