Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • help with speedo LED

    Hey everyone.

strange problem im having with my polo 6r tdi

the speedo/rev in the cluster work fine (as in they move where they're supposed to), however the LEDs in the needles have gone out. the rest of the cluster lights up okay. the needles were intermittant and coming on sometimes at random, however its been a couple of months now with out them coming back

Any ideas or suggestions on a fix? unsure if its a fuse issue (couldnt figure out if any were just related to the needles, kind of got the impression they were for the whole cluster) or a wiring issue, or just the leds have burned out i'd somehow need to pull apart the cluster to replace the two needles?

thanks in advance for all yr help
