Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Can anyone confirm the kw and nm difference between Stage 1 Revo and APR.
Seems significant or APR up 30kw and 70nm on Revo?

Most unlikely there's 30kw between them. More likely the difference between wheel and crank figures. Disclaimer, I haven't looked to see what the both claim to make.

PS look at UGP on Facebook and see what we are making

APR normally quote flywheel/crank figures which always are higher than wheel figures. Most other companies quote power at the wheels.

The big difference I noticed from fitting the Burger JB4 was torque, it jumped up almost 100 nm in a DSG equipped GTi running on Pump98. They are normally limited to 250 nm (at the engine), whilst the manuals are 320 nm (at the engine). Based on the torque before and after on the Dyno Dynamics it's now close to 350 nm and that's on their base tune. I do have boost limits in 1st and 2nd as otherwise it's just wheelspin or traction control city.

I have it off at the moment as my son wants to try it on his Golf R, plus it's due for service, can't do that with a flash tune.

        Cheers
