So I am looking at putting a new engine and a few other performance mods into my little 1.2T run around. Looking for a bit of a project and something that could be a really enjoyable city sleeper.
I was looking at perhaps getting a second hand 1.8T Polo GTI engine or perhaps even one of the 2.0T units from the Golfs (though I amnt sure whether it would fit).
Would anyone have any advice or experience doing this in a Polo? Looking to try and minimise hacking up too much of the engine bay so something that had less risk would be preferable... Also, unsure whether the gear boxes would fit without modding the underside of the car?
Any help would be appreciated!
