Update again, BP had sold out, but found some at the Shell in Yarraville for $2.99/L!
At least 10L gets us around 10,000km's... so hopefully this has sorted itself out by then!

Well the price has gone through the roof, but as you said, thankfully the tank only holds roughly 10 L. Im glad my SQ5 was built a few months before the AdBlue was added to the production line.
If anyone has AdBlue in a retail bottle or in jerry can (I am Brisbane based), I have the Toledo Funnel for AdBlue - Angled Spout 1.1L.
I have had it for many years, however yet to use it. Happy to help someone who might be in need to fill their car...
Yet another top-up of AdBlue in the Wolfsburg as the range was down to 3,500kms (it actually only needed 8.51L this time - as per the MFD). Interesting, the price of AdBlue has dropped form a recent high of $2.999 (May / June 2022) down to 1.999c/L at BP (at the pump). The availability of AdBlue has now returned and is readily available back at the Pump / Bowser and also in retail shops such as Repco / Supercheap Auto etc...
BP Ultimate Diesel was $1.91c/L today also, down from highs around $2.35c/L back in May / June 2022.
Just always remember to turn the ignition "on" for 30sec prior to "starting" the car after topping up AdBlue (re-sets the info in cluster) - Range now says 9,500kms.

Yet another top-up of AdBlue in the Wolfsburg as the range was down to 2,100kms. I was able to check out the all new Shell Service Station in Karawatha (Brisbane) that opened up a few weeks ago. It has AdBlue (2.458$/L) at the pump along (in which I filled 11.9L - new range 11,000kms) I with Shell V-Power Diesel (1.87$/L). This is the first time I have been able to purchase Shell V-Power Diesel, as it has not been stocked anywhere locally in Brisbane. So keen to see how it differs to the BP Ultimate Diesel (I use Shell V-Power 98 in my Superb). Interesting, the price of AdBlue has increased (well at this station) from 1.999$/L at BP (at the pump) right up to 2.458$/L at Shell.

Hi ope126,
What actual distance are you getting between Adblue tops?
My wife's 147 Tiguan and my 147 Tiguan use what I call, very little Adblue.
The one and only time I topped up the wife's, it took 17L and that was more than 18 months ago. The range display at that top up went to 26,000km. Since then she's done less than 10,000km and the Adblue range is still saying some 12,000km (last time I drove hers)
My Tig had a top up on mid Dec '23 as I was going interstate for the New Year. The range showed 26,000km after the top up and now down to 16,000km range after 10,000km distance.
The increase in distance travelled seems to match the reduction of the indicated Adblue range.

I'd be interested to hear about your experience.

Clearly a larger tank in the Tiguan.
The Passat has a 13L AdBlue tank capacity.
My last fill was 11.9L, range reset to 11,000kms after the fill.
I have seen it reset to 13,500kms once, so somewhere within that range.
The warning comes on from 2,400kms remaining, so always best practice to look to fill up then...

Thanks ope126.
The tank size in the Tiguan is probably greater than 20L given that when I filled mine with about 6,000km range remaining, with 15.5L of Adblue and the range increased to 26,000km from memory.
It seems the consumption is around 1L Adblue for every 1,000km travelled.
My Owner's manual does not show a capacity for the tank and the sales brochures did not indicate either.
I've never had the warning come on (in either vehicle as the top ups have been done before getting that low) and the owners manual shows that 2 warnings come up when range is below 2,000 and then again at 1,000.
Yet another top-up of AdBlue in the Wolfsburg as the range was down to 2,000kms. I have been using the Shell V-Power Diesel (1.79$/L) now for sometime and have found it to be fine (compared to the BP Ultimate Diesel I had been using previously). I filled up the AdBlue (2.458$/L) at the pump along (in which I filled 11.64L - new range 11,000kms).

Well we have just returned from a 11 day round trip covering 3,850k in the wife's 147 Tiguan from Melbourne to the Tweed river region in Nth NSW via Cowra, Bathurst and the Blue Mountains (my Mum lives in the blue Mtn and we her up andtook to my sisters for a week in the Tweed).
Since we filled The wife's Tig with Adblue in December 2022, we've now done 20,000k and the Adblue range is now down 7,500 remaining.
The Adblue fill was 17.2L back then so range on the Tiguan tank is amazing.
Returned 5.7L/100 for the total trip with 1,017k on one of the tank fills. used a combo of Ampol Amplify diesel and Shell V Power diesel
