DSG Error Code - Appreciate any advice on potential repair cost

Hi All,

I have a B8 Passat 140TDI with DSG 117,000KM 2015

I noticed a rattle (not regular diesel rattle) when i was decelerating.
I had a friend run some diagnostics and these are the messages that came up

P072600 - Error Code P0726 in Auto Transmission Module | Ross-Tech Forums
P179D00 error code - reading some forums it seems there is a valve that needs to be replaced (N509)

I have already spend thousand of $$ in repairs & trying to asses the viability of keeping repairing or selling.

Any advice on what a repair like this could cost would be really appreciated.

it sounds like you might be in for a DMF replacement. Although it is always best to get it diagnosed at a shop, and not via just fault codes.

I would say it's not going to be cheap, a few searches on here say $2500+

Thank you for the feedback - not much I can do until new year to get quotes to repair. Any recommended repairers would be appreciated.
