Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

A sad day indeed. A wagon was on my list for the next replacement as the kids get bigger and move out (or at least don't travel with us ).

I do wonder what it costs to have a model compliance checked for the Australian market. If they aren't selling enough unit to make this worthwhile this is understandable, but beyond that I'd love to see a list of 'special order' vehicles (and options) available to enthusiasts who are willing to wait (and/or pay a premium). The biggest one for me is colours... why do other markets get a broader range of colours than Australia?

The parts are generally shared between models so shouldn't have too much impact on repairs/warranty, although that could also be a caveat to getting a 'special order' vehicle.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
