Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • SWaP/FEC on MY21 Alltrack

Where can one find more information regarding the SWaP codes available on a vehicle?

These are the codes “supported” by the vehicle in question, but I’d be keen to know what each code means.
    Supported Codes 1 — ImgBB
    Supported Codes 2 — ImgBB

I understand that while some codes may be available in the MIB, the additional hardware required may be missing. In the UK folks seem to be able to purchase these additional features for their vehicles, but finding a catalog of what is available seems to be a VAG secret.

The BNE dealer I’ve contacted didn’t know this existed.
2018 Golf R (Ticks all the boxes, really, really well)
2021 Passat Alltrack (not so) Premium
2017 Tiguan R-Line (Sold, and missing it.)

Thanks for that. I actually found that site before, but forgot about it.

      From the mib-helper.com data:

      -- Supported:
      00000700 - Generic / Unknown
      00040100 - Navigation / Map Activator
      00060100 - Generic / Vehicle Data Interface
      00060300 - Generic / Mirrorlink
      00060400 - Generic / Sport HMI / Performance Monitor
      00070400 - Generic / Electronic Voice Amplifier
      00070500 - Generic / Voice Activation
      00070600 - Generic / Unknown
      00070900 - Generic / Unknown
      00070a00 - Generic / Unknown
      00070b00 - Generic / Unknown
      00071c00 - Generic / Unknown

      -- Installed:
      00070a00 - Generic / Apple CarPlay
      00070b00 - Generic / Google Automotive Link
      00060300 - Generic / Mirrorlink
      00070500 - Generic / Voice Activation
      00040100 - Navigation / Map Activator
      00071c00 - Generic / Unknown

Their database seems to be a bit out of date or not being maintained.

      -- Edit
I started entering random values into the site to see if there's anything interesting, as well as plugging in the values from the Golf R:
      02200006 - Navigation / Audi MIB1 Europe
      093D0008 - Navigation / VW MIB2High RestOfWorld - This is where you'd find the Australian navigation/maps
      00030000 - Generic / AMI USB Enabled
      00050000 - Generic / Bluetooth
00060200 - Generic / VW CarNet Audi Connect (Is this where User Accounts/Personalisation lives, or in one of the Unknown options?)
      00060600 - Generic / Logbook
      00060700 - Generic / Online Services
00060800 - Generic / Apple CarPlay - (Not on the list on the Alltrack at all, but active in the car. I suppose CarPlay could be part of another code/feature too)
      00060900 - Generic / Google Android Auto
00060a00 - Generic / Baidu CarLife for iOS
00060b00 - Generic / Baidu CarLife for Android
      00070100 - Generic / SDS
      00070200 - Generic / SDS with Nav
00070300 - Generic / Electronic Voice Amplifier (PQ)
      00070400 - Generic / Electronic Voice Amplifier

Edit: Interesting but pointless exercise. I spoke to a dealer who is quite knowledgeable, and buying SWaP/FEC codes is not something VW Australia offers.
